For more than 50 years, The Joint Commission has been working to improve the quality and safety of healthcare services. Today, as one of the largest accrediting body of healthcare organisations in the United States, The Joint Commission surveys nearly 20,000 healthcare programmes through a voluntary accreditation process. With quality being the buzzword in Indian healthcare industry now, and nine JCI accredited organisations in India, Joint Commission International (JCI) is surely gaining a strong foothold in this part of the subcontinent.

JCI supports company to go into software business

Fonicom, a start-up company which last year placed second in the Junior Chamber International (Malta)’s Best Business Plan (JCI BBP) Competition, has launched its first phase of operations. Its capital investment was secured through the JCI BBP programme following a year of research and development.

The JCI BBP Competition was first launched in 2002 and since then has helped to launch several new enterprises. Submissions for this year’s Best Business Plan Competition, supported by HSBC and KPMG, will be accepted until 31 March.
